About Largo, FL

First incorporated in 1905, Largo is the third largest city in Pinellas County, Florida. In its early years, Pinellas relied heavily on exporting agricultural products, but today it is mostly regarded as a bedroom community for nearby cities. Largo encompasses about 18.6 square miles, including 651 acres of park land. Its elevation ranges from 0 to 65 feet above sea level. A number of lakes are located in Largo, the largest of which is Taylor Lake. Allen's Creek and McKay Creek flow through Largo as well. In general, Largo enjoys relatively temperate weather. That and its beautiful scenery make the city a prime choice for visitors and residents. As of July 2021, the population of Largo was recorded at 82,341 by the U.S. Census Bureau.
